How “Tangled” Can Inspire Your Dating Life

If you feel like your dating life is a little stagnant, instead of looking for inspiration in the traditional places, such as dating sites and magazines, look instead to the Disney movie Tangled. Tangled may have been made for kids, but it contains a lot of advice that can turn your dating life around.

Rapunzel Knows What She Wants

Rapunzel knows that she didn’t want to spend her entire life in a tower. She wanted to figure out where the lanterns come from that she saw in the air every year. When Mother Gothel would not let her out to see the lanterns, she devised a plan to get out and see the lanterns herself.

Figure Out What You Want

In order to find the perfect person you, like Rapunzel, need to know what you are looking for. Your dating life is not going to go anywhere if you do not know what type of person you are looking for. Before you go on your next date, you need to spend some time thinking about what you are really looking for.

Sit down and make a list of the top three things that you are looking for in a potential partner. Really focus and figure out what you really want in a partner. It’s easy to create a long list with lots of superficial traits on them that you want in a partner.

However, it is more difficult to really figure out what you want in a partner. By keeping your list to three items, you’ll figure out what really want. Rapunzel didn’t want to figure out the entire world, she wanted to figure out where the lanterns came from. Keep your own priorities as narrow.

Create A Plan

Once you figure out what you really want in a potential partner, the next thing you need to do is figure a plan to find the perfect mate. Rapunzel did not just sit around wishing she could figure out where the lanterns came from. She devised a plan to reach her goals.

Stop going on the same old dates again and again. Find locations where you can meet people that line up with the traits you are looking for. If you want to find someone who is caring, don’t go looking for a date at your local bar. Instead, volunteer at a local charity. If you want someone who loves the outdoors like you do, join a group that does outdoor activities.

If you want to change your dating life, take a page out of Rapunzel’s book. Figure out what you really want in a partner, and then switch up your dating game by making a plan to find someone who has those traits. Like Rapunzel, you’ll be able to reach your goals. How To Dress Up A Tent For An Outdoor Wedding

If you are having an outdoor wedding, the one thing that you cannot control is the weather. A great way to play it safe is to have your reception inside of a tent. Dressing up an event tent to feel classy in an outside environment can be tricky, but it is doable. If you are planning an outdoor wedding with your reception under a tent, here are three ways to dress up your event.

1. Focus on Lighting

Lighting can make all of the difference when planning a wedding reception inside of a tent. If you would like larger overhead hanging lights or chandeliers, work with your event tent rental company to see what options they might have and understand any weight limitations on your tent. Bring a romantic feel to your wedding with white string lighting throughout and tea lights on tables. For an evening wedding, opt for softer lighting to make the space feel more cozy and inviting.

2. Fabric Draping to Class up a Tent

Sheer fabric draping from the ceiling of the tent and down the sides can bring a romantic feel to your wedding. Draping and can mask any utilitarian elements that an event tent structure might have and soften the look of your event space. You can wrap the same fabric around any exposed tent poles that might be visible. Work with lighting to shine through draped fabric and bring out color hues from the fabric and soften the look.

3. Bring in Decor from the Outdoors

Replicate the natural scenery from outside within your tent so that you can keep the outdoor-feeling consistent. If your wedding is in the winter, having iced branches and white lighting will give the illusion of snow. For a spring or summer wedding be sure to bring foliage into your tent. Larger floral arrangements, plants or small trees will bring a greenhouse feel to your wedding. Whatever decor you decide, have this look flow from outdoor areas to inside the tent.

If you are planning an outdoor wedding, renting an event tent from a company like Joliet Tent Co will be a necessity to keep your guests comfortable and to combat any unexpected weather changes. Event tent rentals can come in all shapes and sizes, so make sure that the tent you source will accommodate your reception needs. Once you have your perfect tent, you can glam it up and make your outdoor wedding the perfect event.

Tips For Holding A Disco Themed Wedding Reception

If you are getting married in the near future, and you have decided you want your theme to be disco era, you will have a lot of fun making preparations. There are several ideas you can use to incorporate the 70’s into your wedding reception theme, making it an event that will be sure to be appreciated by all who attend. If you are having the wedding reception in your backyard, you will be able to decorate and prepare the event yourself. Here are some ideas you can use to help you make your wedding event one to remember.

Setting Up The Area

Make sure to have a tent large enough to accommodate all of your guests. You will be able to rent large tents from a party rental company. The tents can be as elaborate as you wish, and they can be set up to have chandeliers and lighting incorporated from the interior. Take a look at lighting that will match the era.

Make sure you hang a bunch of disco balls from the top of the tent to give it that disco appeal. You will want to have a large dance area in place, as 70’s disco is one type of music that gets you out on the floor. You can rent light up dance floors that fit the era perfectly.

Furniture Rental

When placing furniture, you will want to have your standard wedding seating for dinnertime, and then have a few social areas for guests to sit back and relax. Consider placing some lounge furniture around the dance floor so guests can relax in between sets. Cushioned chaise lounges or large sofas to seat several will be sure to be a hit.

Rent these in funky colors or purchase some fun 70’s themed pillows to place on top of the seating. You can have some end tables set up around the seating area where people can set their drinks next to lava lamps or lights with fringe shades.

Little Extras

Have a few areas under the tent where strings of beads are hung, representing doorway decor that the era used. You can use bright colors such as orange or green to decorate, giving the entire area a 70’s appeal. You can drape a tie-dyed T-shirt over each seat back, giving the reception a colorful look. Couple this with bright peace signs or flowers on each table and use small disco balls on table tops.

Visiting A Casino For The First Time? Here Are Some Unspoken Rules Of Tipping Etiquette

If you’re planning a trip to the casino like Fort McDowell Casino for the first time, you might think that everything about the experience is all fun and games. While having fun is at the top of your wish list, along with winning some cash at the casino games, there are some unspoken tipping rules that any casino enthusiast should remember. This guide outlines who you should tip and an estimated amount, so that you can have that money set aside you leave the house.

Tips for Table Game Attendants and Dealers

Dealers and attendants of the poker, roulette and craps tables work hard to give you a good experience. They have no control over how the game plays out or whether you win or lose.

These professionals are there to make money, just as you are, so use proper etiquette and tip around five dollars for each session. This means that if you are sitting at a table, and a new dealer relieves the one there, give the dealer leaving a chip or cash as they leave. Likewise, leave the chip or cash on the table if you decide to leave the game.

Tips for Slot Game Attendants

Tip any slot game attendant that you summon to the machine for any reason. Sometimes all you need to tip is a dollar or two, but something is always better than nothing.

You may not need an attendant at all, but if the machine freezes use proper etiquette and tip the person that helps you. Other times you need to tip a slot game attendant include:

  • When they make change for you at the machine or on the floor.
  • When you win a jackpot and they bring you the cash.

Tips for Cocktail Servers

Under regular circumstances, you would tip a server anywhere from 10 percent to 20 percent of your tab. A casino is a bit different. In most of these businesses, you aren’t charged for drinks, or even food as long as you’re playing the games. This can leave a bit of confusion as to how to properly tip.

Tip these professionals at least $1 for each food or beverage item they bring you. Feel free to tip a little more, but try not to tip less than that. If you’re playing a slot game and all of your money is tied up in the game, try to refrain from ordering a drink until you cash out your ticket and have some cash on hand. However, if you just want a little water and the server is walking by, most won’t mind handing you a bottle from their tray and won’t care if you tip or not. Just don’t make a habit of this.

Keep your tip money in a separate section of your wallet and use it generously while visiting a casino. Try not to use it to play the games and treat those that help you with respect. Remember it’s not their fault if you lose and they are there to do a job and make money serving you.

Three Fun Party Rental Ideas For Your Young Child’s Birthday

Are you planning an exciting birthday celebration for your child? For a most memorable event, consider party rentals to delight and entertain the kids. Depending upon the age group, party rentals such as concessions, inflatables and games can enliven the day. Here are three party rental items that you can get from companies like Ken Rent to help you incorporate those aspects into the mix:

1. A Fun-Filled Cotton Candy Maker and Accessories

Here’s one concession you won’t want to pass up when ordering your child’s birthday party rentals. Kids of all ages love colorful cotton candy. The package will generally include everything needed to make and serve cotton candy, including the cotton candy machine with instructions for use.

Be sure the package includes enough cones to supply to all of your child’s guests. Typically, this should include 25 cones, or the option to upgrade. Cotton candy floss sugar and flossine will usually be included, in basic colors such as pink and blue.

Accessories you might rent separately include cotton candy tray holders (to place the finished cones), or even a neon cotton candy sign to attract the guests. Also, ask about cotton candy bags and a “display tree” with clips.

2. Yard Inflatables

This is a great party rental idea for the backyard. If you have enough space, consider renting one or more of the following:

  • Sports themed inflatables: How about an inflatable baseball pitch tent to test a child’s pitching abilities? The popular inflatable basketball shoot is fun for kids and adults alike. An inflatable robotic mechanical “bull” is another fun idea.

  • Water inflatables: If your child celebrates a summer birthday, this is a fun outdoor idea. The water inflatables connect to a water supply and ordinary garden hose for great summertime fun.

  • Bounce House Inflatables: Toddlers and preschoolers especially love these. Some rentals will include play balls, too. Sizes are typically from 12–25 feet in diameter.

  • Inflatable “Castles” and Playhouses: Any theme you choose should make the kids happy. Choose a gender-neutral playhouse if guests include both boys and girls.

3. Party Rental Games

Party rental supplies for the kids include everything from bean bag toss games to bumper ball. How about a clown toss game? The kids try to toss a bean bag into the colorful clown’s “mouth”. The winners receive a prize of your choice.

What You Should Know

It’s a good idea to ask about the electricity requirements for your rentals. Also, if you’re renting bounce houses and inflatables, ask about ground surface requirements. Can you play them on concrete or grass?
